Updating your Information on Dayforce

Do you have a new phone number or email?  Please remember to update your contact details in Dayforce.  You can do this by logging into Dayforce and selecting the profile tab on the navigation menu.  Once there you can update your phone number or email address by hitting the pencil (edit) icon.  Select the Add button on either the phone number or electronic address section and input the new information.  At the bottom hit' Submit' and the new information will be sent to the team for uploading.   It is important to keep your email and phone info up to date for managers to contact you about work shifts or for important updates that are given through Dayforce

How to apply for internal positions

If you are interested in applying for an internal position, please follow these steps:

  • Review the qualifications and requirements of the position. Consider these questions: Am I able to demonstrate I have the training and skills needed for the position? Do I meet the qualifications? Am I able to commit to the schedule?
  • Discuss the opportunity with your manager. Remember they will be used as your reference during this process.
  • Complete an internal application form. This form will be directly submitted to the hiring manager and HR. Please do not go through Indeed. We want your resume at the top of our pile.
  • Prepare for the interview. Ask your manager for any tips they can share with you. Consider preparing examples of when you demonstrated behaviours relating to HHF's noble purpose and guiding principles (values). You can use the STAR method when providing your answers. (Situation: Set the scene and give the necessary details of your example; Task: Describe what your responsibility was in that situation; Action: Explain exactly what steps you took to address it; Result: Share what outcomes your actions achieved)
  • Attend the interview. Be on time and prepared to demonstrate why you are the best candidate for the position.
  • If you are not successful, ask the hiring manager what you could have done differently to learn for the next opportunity available for you.

HHF is committed to seeing our staff grow within the organization. Please ask what you might be able to do to prepare yourself for that next opportunity

A look back on Health and Safety in 2024

Happy 2025! As we say goodbye to 2024, I’d like to share some important health and safety updates from our sites and the industry.

In 2024, we saw a 19% decrease in the number of incidents reported compared to hazard and near-miss events. Thank you for reporting these hazards and near misses before they could lead to any incidents!

A total of 62 incidents happened last year. Of these, 45 were low impact, and 17 were medium impact. There were no severe health, safety, or environmental (HSE) incidents in 2024.

All 17 medium-impact incidents were carefully investigated. As a result, over 60 corrective actions were put in place to make sure these incidents don’t happen again.

The 2024 HHF COR Audit was completed, and our organization received a score of 96% for the effectiveness of our HSE Program.

HHF WCB statistics show that our claim impact is 79% better than the industry average, which shows we have a strong health and safety culture among our staff.

Thank you for always keeping health and safety a priority in everything you do.

Stay tuned for more 2024 HSE stats and audit feedback, which will be shared at sites in February!
