Eligibility & Application

This lodge was built to replace an aging building that had served the community of Fort Saskatchewan for almost 40 years. Opened in spring of 2015, this steel and concrete structure is designed to meet the requirements for LEED certification, and features the latest in modern design and function. The lodge provides a high quality of life in a caring and friendly manner to seniors 65 years of age or older who are active and functionally independent.

Monday to Friday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Dr. Turner Lodge Suites

Suite Sizes:

350 - 450 sq feet

Cost:

Rent is geared to income at 30% plus the Lodge Service package. The Lodge Service Package is dependent on room size, and ranges from $955 to $1258 monthly. (note: Service Packages vary between HHF Lodges and is based on room size). Where applicable, double occupancy rates apply. Contact us for details.

  • Parking: $25.00 per month
  • Second tenant fee: $637.00 per month
  • Suite air conditioning (resident owned): $50.00 per season
  • Guest meals at Dr. Turner Lodge are available for purchase
  • Beauty salon services at affordable rates
  • On-site services include foot care, hearing aide clinic, general information sessions as arranged
  • Electric Wheel Chairs are allowed upon approval by Management

  • A full time Recreation Coordinator is on staff to plan and coordinate lifestyle enriching activities
  • Our on site chapel holds weekly services

Renters Insurance

Heartland Housing Foundation requires all renters to have personal property coverage and general liability insurance with a coverage amount of at least $1 million.

The safety and security of our residents is one of our main priorities.

  • A personal emergency response system is in place for each resident
  • Dead bolt locks or fob access on suite doors
  • Suite door viewers to identify guests
  • Hard wired smoke detectors
  • Smoke free environment
  • Elevators with emergency call system monitored 24 hours a day
  • Building entrance is monitored by video camera 24 hours a day

Our security measures comply with Supportive Living Accommodation standards as established by the Province of Alberta.
